More about Doing Well
Information for Healthcare Professionals

This site is designed to help you assess your mood- and to know what to do next if you are depressed.

Am I depressed?

There’s a big difference between the everyday low mood that everybody experiences from time time, and more severe “clinical” depression.

If you're feeling low in mood yourself, a good place to start is by checking our online Personal Health Questionnaire ("PHQ") - this should give you a good idea of the kind of help that you might need. Click here to complete the questionnaire.

What can I do about it?

After checking your PHQ, you may want to read about your options. Click here for information on self help, talking therapies and antidepressants.

Don’t just take our word for it.

We’ve collected a number of real stories from people dealing with depression, each one as unique as the person behind it. Click here to read about other peoples' experiences of depression.

And if you’d like to contribute your own story to this part of the site, or have any other comments, we are eager to hear from you. Click here to get in touch.

Doing Well offers a personal service to people registered with some practices in Renfrewshire, Scotland. Click here to see if your GP can refer you to see a Doing Well clinician.

"Knowing your PHQ is as important as knowing your weight."

"I knew I couldn't go on, because I was on a downward spiral."
